We are looking for volunteers and interns to help us run the farm as it takes a lot of hands to keep things running smoothly. There is always something to do in Maajaam.
We expect the volunteer to commit on duties for minimum 4 hours a day 5 days a week. The rest of the time, the volunteer is free to use any of Maajaam’s facilities for their own projects.
The minimum volunteering period is one week, but we occasionally make exceptions for shorter-term volunteering sessions. Feel free to contact us if you’re interested in a shorter stay.
There is no financial support from Maajaam. Volunteer or intern must find their own resources for travel costs. In most cases, volunteer has to take care of their own food.

The volunteers and interns live in the residency house with four bedrooms (1 or 2 people per room depending on the circumstances), a kitchen, a bathroom and a common living area. There are two studios in Maajaam that can be used for personal creative projects and a smoke sauna. Life in Maajaam is a shared experience - we enjoy each other’s company and often go swimming, cook and go visit ponies and other animals at the neighbouring Ponimaa farm.
We will individually agree on the duration of the internship period. All interested will be in contact with their university to formalise the intership in the university system.
For international participants we encourage seeking funding through different platforms e.g. Culture Moves Europe and Erasmus+. Maajaam can provide you with documents necessary for the application.
